Submission on the Federal Government’s IR Omnibus Bill

19 February 2020

The ACTU and several unions gave evidence to the Senate Committee Inquiry into the impact of the Federal Government’s IR Omnibus Bill. In our written submission to the Senate Committee, Professionals Australia opposed the Bill in its current form as it represents an attack on the wages, rights and working conditions of professional workers. In contrast, we believe industrial relations reform in a post pandemic world must focus on delivering high quality, well-paid and secure jobs which put money back into local economies and provide certainty to workers. Our views are based on years of experience in representing professional workers in the industrial relations system. You can read our submission here
